For a problem, it helps to include:

• your device and its OS version (Settings → General → About);
• the app version (Settings → Teleprompt in the Settings app, or the App Store page);
• what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead;
• a screenshot or screen recording, if you can.

The script isn't following me

Teleprompt needs microphone and speech recognition access. Check Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and Speech Recognition. It follows best when you read the script more or less as written; a skipped sentence is fine, but it won't jump to a paragraph far ahead until it's sure you're there.

The scrolling moves in steps instead of gliding

Turn on Smooth Scroll in the app's settings (the ⋯ menu → Settings).

Google Docs

Signing in to Google is optional. Teleprompt asks for read-only access so it can list your Google Docs and load the one you pick. To remove that access, sign out in the app, or visit your Google account's third-party access page.
